The Bangladesh Medical Studies and Research Institute (BMSRI) was established by 09(nine) ’eminent personalities of the country in 1984. The BMSRI authority towards the fulfillment of the objects as per Memorandum of Association established the first private medical college, viz Bangladesh Medical College in 1986 to promote and provide studies in medical science eading to help obtaining recognized graduate and post graduate degrees. Two other units are (i) Bangladesh Dental
College (BDC) and (i) Uttara Adhunik Medical College (UAMC) which were established in 1996 and 2007 respectively. On the long journey, the BMSRI has produced skilled and quality based medical and dental professionals in the health sector of Bangladesh. All units including hospitals are equipped with qualified and experienced teachers, modem medical equipments and facilities
Bangladesh Dental College, through its relentless journey has produced near about 600 dental graduates including some foreign students. The services and dental lab facilities are being regularly upgraded in addition of modern dhyal equipments already we possess The BMSRI in its utmost efforts is trying to promote this college os a prestigious institute of the country and also to enhance the capacity of the college with modern teaching and treatment facilities.
All the improvements of BMSRI and its Units have been made due to selfless motivation for its Founding Members those who left this world. Bangladesh Dental College is being steered with the ideas, aspiration by the active co-operation and understanding of the students, teachers, parents and the able management.
I acknowledge their dedication in leading dental and medical healthcare service to the public.

It gives me an immense pleasure to have the opportunity to introduce Bangladesh Dental College (BDC) as one of the best among the dental colleges in the private sector in our country. It was established under its parent organization “Bangladesh Medical Studies and Research Institute (BMSRI) in 1996. The other units of BMSRI are Bangladesh Medical College (BMC) and Uttara Adhunik Medical College (UAMC). In this context feel proud to express my heartfelt respect and honour to our 9 (nine) illustrious personalities who were the founder members of
BMSRI. They first dreamt the concept of private medical college in this country where there is scarcity of quality Health Science education and service. At the beginning they faced lot of hurdles & criticisms but finally they succeeded by the grace of Almighty Allah. Dental college in the private sector was their new addition in the field of health profession in our country.
Since inception, BDC is successfully running the BDS course. Students’ performance in the Professional Examinations is remarkably excellent. BDC has a group of very highly qualified faculty at all levels and in all the departments. Both theoretical and Practical teaching and earning are strictly monitored by the designated Academic and Phase Committee. Students avail all the modern facilities of teaching within a friendly academic environment. Teacher Student relationship is very admirable. Every year a good number of graduates get enrolled in the postgraduate courses and many already have completed post graduate degrees at home and abroad. They are serving the nation at the public and private sectors. Many are working also in abroad with full dignity and honor.
This year students of BD-23 will enter this institution after successful completion of their admission procedure. In this 5 (five) years BDS course they must fully comply with the rules and regulations of this institute, students regularity, sincerity and handworks in study ore keys towards achieving the success.
I on behalf of the Authority of BMSRI want to assure you that we always keep ourselves aware regarding the continuous improvement of the education facilities of the students, promotion of dental education and service to the highest standards. So let us extend and center of excellence, May Allah help us all

It is my privilege to welcome the candidates willing to get admission in Bangladesh Dental College. It is one of the establishment of the Bangladesh Medical Studies and Research Institute (BMSRI). Since 1997 Bangladesh Dental College has produced more than 400 dentists. It has air-conditioned class rooms with multimedia
system, well equipped laboratories, full fledged out patient departments with more than 40 dental units and an enriched library. The students of this college are achieving excellent results in the Professional BDS Examinations each year. Our highly qualified teaching staff, congenial atmosphere of study and excellent teacher-student relationship made it possible.
The teachers are encouraged to higher studies and training to update their teaching knowledge in their respective fields. The college has well spread student lounge and cafeteria having hygienic food items. For recreation of the students, picnic, sports & cultural competitions are arranged in every year.
Oral health is the gateway of general health. I am sure, that the students will obviously be a good doctor obtaining BDS degree from this college. The students should keep in mind that dentistry is not only a profession but also a noble social service. I hope, the dental students of this college will make best use of their time with a mission to build up a successful career.
