- Recognition of the College
Bangladesh Dental College (BDC) is officially recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare under the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Since 1997, it has been affiliated with the prestigious University of Dhaka.
BDC, along with Bangladesh Medical College (BMC) and the Uttara Adhunik Medical College (UAMC), operates under the Bangladesh Medical Studies and Research Institute (BMSRI). Notably, BMSRI pioneered private medical education in Bangladesh by establishing the country’s first private medical college, Bangladesh Medical College (BMC).
- College Accommodation
The College and the attached Hospital are accommodated in two 6 storied buildings.
The new building of the Hospital, called the Community Welfare and Health Care Centre (CWHCC), is built to international standards. It has an excellent Outpatient Department in addition to Inpatient facilities. The College also has a modern Accident and Emergency Management Department and a referral diagnostic laboratory.

Bangladesh Dental College features four expansive, fully air-conditioned lecture halls, providing an optimal environment for academic instruction. Complementing these are dedicated tutorial rooms integrated within each department, fostering focused and collaborative learning.
The college takes pride in its fully air-conditioned Anatomy Dissection Hall, offering a refined setting for immersive anatomical exploration. Furthermore, laboratories across various disciplines, including Dental Materials, Pathology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology, are meticulously outfitted with sophisticated equipment, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in a well-appointed environment.

- Library
Bangladesh Dental College houses a modern, fully air-conditioned library located on the first floor, providing a serene and resourceful environment for academic enrichment. The library boasts an extensive collection of over 6,000 books, encompassing a wide range of dental and medical sciences to support both learning and research.
Designed for convenience and accessibility, the library accommodates up to 100 students and 25 faculty members simultaneously. To further enhance the learning experience, the library is equipped with a sufficient number of computers, enabling students to access digital resources and research tools seamlessly.
